A loan of $725 helped to buy balanced feed for her animals and fertilizers to improve her land and crops.

Rosa Marlene's story

Rosa is a 32 year-old mother who lives with her husband and children in their own home which does not receive basic services. Their home is located in the rural area of Tambogrande district, in Piura department. This area is noted for the fact that many people farm, raise livestock and make handicrafts. Rosa has been raising and selling sheep and pigs for some years. Her animal pens are located outside her home. They are suitable and spacious. She feeds her animals balanced feed and natural pasture so that they reach an optimum level of development and she then sells them in the different markets in her area, making good profits which enable her to cover her family's daily expenses. Rosa also owns a hectare of land which her father left as an inheritance for her to farm. She grows lemons which, once harvested, she sells in the markets in her area. Rosa has requested a loan for 2,000 Peruvian soles from Edpyme Alternativa to buy balanced feed and fertilizers to improve her land and crops. She will use the income she makes to repay her loan and improve her family's quality of life. Rosa is a hard-working person and very responsible. The only thing she wants is for her family to do well and improve their financial situation.
