Sabougnima Group's story

This solidarity group was set up on October 19, 2001. It is composed of 6 women who live in the same neighborhood and share the same ambitions.

Mrs Mariama, standing at the right on the picture and raising her hand, is responsible for the group. She is 38 years old, married and the mother of four children. She cares also for the child of a parent of hers.

Mariama sells milk. She has been in this business for a very long time. She intends to use her loan to increase her inventory and better meet her customers' demand.

She will use her future profit to participate in school fees for the children in her care.
