Sabi Group's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is 42 year old Chidoni (holding the yellow folder) from Masvingo. She is married with three children aged 16, 23 and 25. Of the three, one is currently attending school. Her husband is a mechanic.

Chidoni runs a retail cross boarder business selling clothing. The business has been in operation for 4 years. She says the main challenges faced are competition and debtors not paying on time. Chidoni has requested a loan of $400 to increase working capital which will enable her to buy more clothes such as blouses, t-shirts and blankets for the winter. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to improve the general welfare of her family. In the future Chidoni plans to acquire a motor vehicle and build her own house.
