A loan of $550 helped to buy oatmeal, quinoa, sugar, disposable packaging and buckets.

Kristy's story

Kristy, 28, lives with her parents in a house they acquired several years ago. Three years ago she discovered a new market and since then has been preparing breakfasts (composed of nutritional ingredients) that she sells daily to laborers. It isn’t an easy job because she has to rise at dawn every day and with help from her cousin prepare mates (herbal teas), coffee or oatmeal with milk which are served accompanied by bread with butter or cheese according to her customers’ wishes. To date, she considers the business to be very profitable because she has regular customers that always consume and are quite exacting with their requests for the food she prepares. The business has helped her improve her economy and she has an income that’s important for her home. Besides, she’s able to attend classes in the afternoon thus attaining her wish for self improvement. Because of all this she’s hoping to have support from all of you.

This is her 5th loan with MFP. She has a good credit history; she was always punctual and is always encouraging her communal bank members to be financially responsible.

On this occasion she will use the money to stock her business with non-perishable items like oatmeal, quinoa, sugar as well as disposable packaging, bags and buckets that she needs for her business’ operation.
