Badri's story

Badri comes from village Tkhilnari, West Georgia. He is 40 years old, married and lives with his family – his wife Shorena, their 10-year-old daughter and his parents. Badri works as a night-watchmen in a local stone factory and TV station. He gets a salary for his job. Besides the above-mentioned, Badri and Shorena earn income from agricultural activities. In particular, they have 0.5 ha of agricultural land, where various fruits and vegetables are grown. Harvested products are sold locally to retailers.

Also they have a milk cow and sell cheese. Along with all that, Badri has 60 bee-hives with bee-colonies. Twice a year they get honey from the beehives and sell it on the local market. The total monthly income of the family is approximately 2,000 Laris.

With the requested credit, Badri will purchase additional bee-hives and bee-colonies. He will get more honey and sell it on the local market. This will positively impact the income of the family. The increase in income will be used for financing their child’s education.
