A loan of $1,200 helped a member to purchase palm oil and pepper seeds.

Touba Group's story

This solidarity group was created on August 17, 2005. It is made up of 11 women who live in the same area. For work, they sell palm oil, hot peppers, and fruits of the Baobab tree. Madame Fang (at the right of the photo, raising her hand) manages the group. She is 45 years old. She is married and the mother of five children. She also cares for the child of a nearby relative.

She sells hot peppers which she cultivates in her garden. She has great experience in this area, as she has carried out this work for many years. This loan will allow her to increase her production capacities by purchasing quality seeds and agricultural inputs in order to better develop her business. The profits made from this operation will allow her to grow her savings and to better the livelihoods of her family (health, clothing, diet, etc.)

In this group: Bintou, Bori , Amy , Moussoulountang, Gnamokono, Manding, Seynabou, Ramatoulaye, Mouslountang , Mabintou, Fang
