A loan of $1,200 helped a member to buy more clothes and shoes to sell.

Hope Alive Group's story

This is 47-year-old Rosemary (pictured in the middle of the photo) from the town of Mutare in Zimbabwe. She is a widowed pensioner with three children aged nine, twelve and fifteen. Two of the children attend school.

Rosemary sells clothing and shoes and employs one person. She has been in business for three years and says the main challenge she faces is the high prices of the goods she sells.

Rosemary has requested a loan of $400 to boost her stock. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to send her children to better schools. In the future Rosemary plans to improve her business.
