Bayerena Group's story

This solidarity group was formed on October 19, 2001. The group is made up of six women who live in the same district. Their main business involves selling small items. Madame Khady who is on the right in the photo, raising her hand, is the leader of the group. She is 43, married, and the mother of six children. She is also raising two other children who were confided to her by relatives. She has a little business selling tomatoes and hibiscus petals. This loan will allow her to bolster her capital and expand her business so as to earn more income. Her goal is to participate in improving family living conditions (health, food, clothing, etc.) and adding to her savings.
