A loan helped to buy spare parts for her bicycle business.

Tatiana Elizabeth's story

Tatiana Elizabeth, 22, is married and lives with her husband and two children, who are 2 and 15 years of age, in Agua Clara which belongs to Chillanes Canton.

The “Santa Rosa de Agua Clara” communal bank is located 20 minutes from the Chillanes office. It has 20 members and this is the second loan they’ve requested from the Cooperative. The members of this communal bank farm cocoa beans and manioc and are also merchants.

Tatiana is a merchant; she sells bicycle spare parts and sporting goods. She makes her purchases in Guayaquil and sells every day in a locale at home.

The loan will help her buy merchandise for the business. The loan has helped her increase sales and have sufficient merchandise such as spare parts for the bicycles of different sizes, such as lights, chains, pedals, and other accessories. She's faced challenges like a lack of funds to purchase merchandise and the competition's prices.

Her dream is to earn more to educate her children and so that they will lack nothing. In her spare time she’d like to go on excursions with her husband and children.
