Bertha Aurora's story

Bertha is a member of the “Mujeres de la Colina II” community bank which is located in La Banda de Shilcayo district, in San Martín province, in San Martín department. She is 36 years old, single, and has three children who are in high school.

Through her own initiative, Bertha started out with 300 Peruvian soles in capital and started a business selling new and used clothes for men, women and children. She set up her business in her home and soon had a very good customer base. The business makes her very good profits and brings her a lot of satisfaction.

Bertha will use this loan for 2,200 Peruvian soles to buy dresses, blouses, pants, tops and skirts in different sizes and styles so that she can provide a good service to her customers.

Bertha Aurora is a hard-working and enthusiastic woman. Her dream is to own a boutique. She is very grateful to Movimiento Manuela Ramos for helping women such as herself to get ahead in life.
