A loan of $725 helped to buy more products to stock her store and to pay for a checkup for her animals.

Adela's story

Adela is a 65 year-old mother who owns her own home where she lives with her husband and children. The only service her house receives is electricity. It is located in Chulucanas district, in Piura department. The people in this area farm, raise livestock, make handicrafts and work in tourism.

Some years ago, Adela set up a store in her home where she sells essential household products (oil, milk, rice, sugar, etc.) She has her own customers in her area. She also has another way of making additional income, selling sheep. When they reach an ideal level of development, she sells them to her customers.

Adela has requested a loan for 2,000 Peruvian soles from Edpyme Alternativa to buy more products with which to stock her store and to pay for a checkup for her animals so that they develop properly. This will increase her sales and her customers. With the income that she makes, she will be able to make her loan repayments and provide her family with a better quality of life.
