Mamy Group's story

This solidarity group was created on December 18, 2001. It is composed of 13 women who live in the same neighborhood. Their main business is selling various small items.

Madame Mousba who is on the left of the photo wrapped in a scarf is the leader of the group. She is 65 and married with no biological children but responsible for five children who have been confided to her by those around her.

She sells sugar and tea. She has a good deal of experience in this field since she has been working at it for more than five years.

This loan will permit her to develop her business and satisfy her clientele. The profit from her business will allow her to help her husband take charge of food expenses for the family.
