Katiereton 2 Group's story

The members of the Katiereton 2 group are married men who are on average 49 years old and have an average of 7 children. Most of them live in polygamous families in Nimprodioula, one of the villages in the Sikasso community, (third administrative region of Mali)
They collaborate with the Soro Yiriwaso microfinance institution in order to carry their agricultural activities through the winter.
This is their third loan with the institution and the previous loan was repaid correctly.
The crops grown by this group of men are usually corn, like Kalifa Sibiri.
With this new loan, he plans to purchase products for the earth (fertiliser and weed killer), and small tools for the maintenance of his fields.
After the harvest the produce is sold in the village and at the market in Sikasso to men and women customers.
Kalifa Sibiri hopes to make an average profit of 110 000 FCFA for each field and wishes to continue his cooperation with Soro Yiriwaso.
His aim is to build a house for residence in the future.
