A loan of $1,100 helped to equip his metal shop and to have maintenance work done on his motorcycle taxi.

Ramiro's story

Ramiro is 37 years old, single, and lives in his parents' home. The house only has electricity and is located in the rural area of Chiclayo province where local people sell products wholesale and retail, farm and work in tourism.

For some years, Ramiro has owned a motorcycle taxi (a mode of transport that is used to move short distances and can carry a maximum of three people). He hires out his vehicle for other people to work with every morning and afternoon. Ramiro is a metal worker. He makes doors and windows from metal. He carries out this business from rented premises and uses the income from both businesses to improve his personal development.

Ramiro has requested a loan for 3,000 Peruvian soles from Edpyme Alternativa which he will use to equip his metal shop and also to have some maintenance work done on his motorcycle taxi which has some problems but which he needs to keep in a good state of repair so that it keeps working. Ramiro is a man who, through a lot of effort and hard work, has been able to grow his businesses and continue helping his parents financially.
