Raymundo's story

Raymundo, 28, is from the city of Quimbiri. He lives with Raquel, 20, in their own home with their darling daughter Mariana, 2, who they want to give a better future. Raymundo works the land. He has 3 hectares of land where he grows cacao, coffee, annatto, and palillo [similar to a guava tree]. When he was young, his parents taught him to turn over the land and at age 20 he bought his first parcel of land, which he has worked on since. He hires day laborers when it's time to clean his fields and get rid of the brush and also for the harvest. He feels very committed to his work, because thanks to his efforts today he enjoys seeing that his plants are productive and he is earning money. However he doesn't like the winter because there are periods with a great deal of rain, which ruins his plant shoots.

For this reason he asks for your help so that he can intensify his work This is his fifth loan with MFP. He is ready to make all of his payments punctually, because he wants to access another loan in the future. He is a very participatory member of his village bank. With the loan he requested he will buy sacks of manure and seeds for hardwood trees like mahogany, tornillo [screwbean mesquite] and cedar so that he can improve his lands. The hardwood trees will also contribute to nature because they give us life; that's the motto that he uses when planting trees.
