A loan of $500 helped to buy corn, firewood, and fuel.

Vilma Guadalupe's story

Vilma lives with her husband and daughter in their own home. She has earned her living selling tortillas for the past ten years; her mother taught her how to make them. The business is located in the local market, and she works there from 6am to 5pm.

Vilma is seeking a loan to buy corn, firewood, and fuel--all of which she needs to make the tortillas. She hopes to buy these items, especially the corn, at a lower price as she can buy in bulk and store them. Her hopes for the future are to have a strong business, the capacity to serve more customers, and to improve the standard of living of her family.
