A loan of $750 helped to hire laborers for the harvest.

Ananias's story

Ananias is 26 years old. He lives with his partner, Aída, who is 23 years old. They have a daughter named Analía, who is 2 years old. They live together in their own house in the community of Bethel, which is annexed to the district of Quimbiri.

Ananias was working in his parent’s fields by the time he was a teenager; at the same time he worked as a laborer in other people’s fields. Over time he was able to save money and buy his own piece of land. It has been 5 years since he started working his own lands and he now has an additional 2 hectares where he plants cacao and coffee. The key to his success lies in his desire to better himself. In order to do this, he has put a lot of effort and knowledge into his work. He knows how to plant his crops correctly because of the constant trainings he receives from agricultural engineers. His product with greatest demand is coffee beans. He has good quality products and as a result he receives a good income. He usually works alone, but during harvest times he hires laborers so that he can harvest the crops more quickly. His plan for the future is to continue increasing his agricultural production and thereby improve his living conditions.

This is his fourth loan with Microfinanzas Prisma. He knows that this loan will be of great help to him in the progress of his work. In his communal bank, he is a young man who shares his ideas about how to achieve progress in the group. With this loan he will hire laborers to help him with the harvest and to remove weeds from his fields.
