Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $700 helped to buy additional clothes to sell in her business.

Kezia's story

Kezia is a 32 year-old Rwandan entrepreneur that sells clothes. She has been selling clothes for five years and has used the profits from her success to build her family a house.

Kezia is married to a mechanic. They have four children between the ages of five and 14 years old, and all of the children are in school.

She will use the loan to purchase more clothes that she will sell for her business, and the profits she generates will allow her to accumulate savings that will improve the future of herself and her family.

Kezia dreams of growing her business so that someday she can open her own store.
