A loan of $750 helped to buy grafted cocoa bean and coffee plants.

Isaac's story

Isaac, 28, is from the city of Quimbiri. He lives together with Analuz, 27, and their three children in a house of their own located in the community of Bethel which is an Annex of Quimbiri District.

Isaac is a farmer. He has four hectares where he farms cocoa beans, coffee, bananas and citrus fruit. He feels very committed to his work because, thanks to his efforts, today he enjoys the quality of his products. He’s been farming his own land for 8 years so he considers this work to be quite profitable. Because of this, he has to invest sufficient money if he wants to earn more. He must hire day laborers to help him pick the fruit as well as carry it a certain distance to be picked up later by small trucks. He feels very satisfied with his work since he earns good profits.

In face of this he wants to request a new loan to invest in his business and he hopes to have support from all of you. This is his 6th loan with MFP. He knows that if he repays it on time, he will be able to access another loan more easily without causing any problems for his communal bank. He will use the requested loan to buy grafted cocoa bean and coffee plants to obtain better fruit in a short time.
