Kamusuye is the leader of the Community Bank named “Roc Plus”, composed of 16 members united in solidarity for receiving Kiva loans with the goal of developing their businesses. 36 years old, Kamusuye is married and the father of two children aged 8 and 10 years old. Both the children attend school.

Kamusuye has been part of the micro-enterprise world since 2007. He runs a telephone booth in the area east of Kinshasa. He has acquired solid experience in this area, and works hard with good management skills, in order to realize his dream of one day becoming a phone accessory wholesaler in his neighborhood. He would also like to achieve financial independence through his business, that brings in US$100 of profit each week. He works to the best of his abilities and uses his contacts so that he might achieve his goal.

Kamusuye is a trustworthy client of the MFI HOPE RDC, who has received and repaid loans on time, three times. With his next loan, he will purchase some phone accessories preferred by his customers and increase his profits.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
