A loan of $550 helped to buy more wood, tubes and iron for making furniture.

Felipe's story

Felipe is 55 and a very friendly man. He lives in his own home together with his wife Rayda, 54. He isn't afraid to work very hard, because he hopes one day to be able to relax in his old age. Since he was very young, Felipe had an interest in carpentry and mechanics, which is why he decided to learn and make it his profession. Currently he has his own carpentry and mechanical workshop and it's going very well. He has a lot of order to fill and knows that he has to finish them all if he wants his business to keep growing. What he likes most about his work is shaping the wood and getting the designs that he wants. He has been doing this for 34 years and considers the most difficult aspect to be making the final touches on the work, since it takes a lot of time.

He longs for his business to grow with time and become one of the most well-known carpentry and mechanics workshops in the city of Pucallpa. He asks for help so that he can meet his objectives. This will be his second loan with MFP, and he is ready to make his payments on time since he doesn't want to cause problems for his village bank, where he is well-respected by the other members. With the 1500 nuevos soles that he has requested, he will buy more wood, tubes and iron to make new furniture and complete his orders.
