A loan of $875 helped to purchase nail polishes, nail hardener, foot crème, neutralizer, towels, a nail dryer, and aromatherapy spray.

Kari's story

Sra. Kari is a member of the Communal Bank “Mujeres Forjadoras” (Forging Women) in the District of Yarinacocha, Department of Ucayli. She is 28 years old and married.

Kari provides manicure and pedicure services from her home. She has been in business for two years and experiences great demand, especially on the weekends.

With her new loan of 2400 PEN, she will buy ten nail polishes in different colors, one bottle of nail hardener, one foot crème, one neutralizer, six towels, one nail dryer, and one aromatherapy spray.

Since she does not have children, she is able to devote herself to her work without any problems. Her husband works as a teacher.

Sra. Kari says that her work also serves as a distraction and a means of helping her husband with some of the household expenses. She is happy because the three years she has been with Manuela Ramos have enabled her to buy the things she needs for her business.
