A loan of $750 helped to buy cacao plants.

Nery's story

Nery is 39 years old. She lives with her partner and has two school-age children: 19 year-old Wilder and 13 year-old Gleydi. They live together in their own home in the town of Santa Rosa which is located in the beautiful Ayacuchan jungle.

Nery tells us that everything that comes with the name of cacao generates business. For this reason, she tries to provide the best care for her cacao plantations and many of her buyers are happy with the quality of her produce. Nery puts a lot of effort into everything she can but she knows that this business requires more effort and so she hires day laborers to help her in harvesting her crops so that they can be sold quickly to the middlemen in her town at a good price. Nery's plan for the future is to invest her profits in other types of business such as a shoe store.

This is Nery's fifth loan from MFP and she pledges to make her repayments on time. She also predicts that she will enjoy a lot of success with her community bank. Nery will use the loan she has requested to buy more cacao plants since she plans to graft them as they develop.
