A loan of $1,100 helped to buy machines to make ice cream.

Dionisia's story

Dionisia, who is 53 years old, is married to Augustín, who is 54, and as the fruit of this love, they conceived five children. They live together in their own house located in the city of Sante Rosa. It was not as easy as she expected to have her own ice cream shop, since the first month it was open, she only had a few customers, and what she earned was only sufficient for her family expenses. Dionisia put much determination into improving the manufacture of her ice creams, and she introduced new flavors such as mango, pear, banana, and guanábana (a tropical fruit), among other fruits, with the result that her clients are more than satisfied. With the passing of the months, she perfected her product. Now she has a substantial location, and she recognizes that the key to her success is rooted in perseverance and in the innovation of her new flavors. This is why she feels satisfied with her business. Nevertheless, the rainy season hurts her business. With the passing of time she wants to enlarge her stand because there is ample space available.

This is her sixth loan with MFP, and she promises to continue fulfilling her obligations to make payments. Furthermore, she is satisfied with the good treatment that she receives from the members of her communal bank. With the loan that she is applying for, she will buy new machines to make her ice creams.
