A loan of $600 helped to purchase kindergarten games and invest in promotional leaflets.

Luz Marina's story

Luz Marina lives in the neighborhood of Socorro in the beautiful city of Cartagena de Indias. She has a business called “Festejarte” which organizes children’s parties. This business has helped to support her household, which consists of her husband and three children who range in age from 3 to 7.

She started with a trampoline that she brought to the neighborhood parks. Luz gradually began renting equipment and then bought additional children’s games. Today she offers party services designed specifically for children. This Kiva loan is the first loan she has received from Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. She will use the funds to buy kindergarten games to rent out and invest in promotional leaflets to advertise her business.

Her dreams are to have her own home and devote all of her efforts for her family so that her children can experience well-being and receive a quality education.
