A loan of $1,175 helped to buy women's, men's and children's clothes.

Diana Patricia's story

Diana lives in the beautiful city of Cartagena de Indias with her 1 year-old son who is the main reason for all her hard work. She works hard to provide for him and so that she can offer him better possibilities for future success. Diana has a business where she sells clothes and accessories. She started her business a year ago when she wasn't able to find work. She had to make income and support her baby.

With the support of her family members, Diana set up a small store where she sells all kinds of clothes. She started out selling women's clothes but gradually started selling men's clothes too. She made the most of her sales location, offering merchandise which was most in demand with her customers. She has gained a lot of customers in her area.

This Kiva loan is Diana's first loan with Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. She will use it to buy women's, men's and children's clothes, in preparation for Father's Day as customers have made orders with her for this date because families want to dress up in order to share the day together.

Diana's dream is to expand her business and continue to attract new customers so that she can increase her income and get her son ahead in life.
