A loan of $1,825 helped a member to buy fertilizers and pay for manual labor.

Twisungane No22 Group's story

Gratien is a client from ACB since 2011. He is a member of Twisungane #22 group. He was born in Rwanda and has primary education. He is married, with five children from 13 to 9 years of age, four of whom are in school. This is his first loan cycle. Gratien will use his loan for rice farming: buying insecticides and paying for manual labor. His strategy is to increase his cultivated land and to use fertilizers to increase his agricultural production. In the future, he would like to be able to finance his business and provide for his children’s education through university level, and also to have electricity in his house. Gratien also raises small farm animals.
