Régine est une commerçante âgée de 40ans qui habite au chef lieu de la Province de Kayanza située au Nord du Burundi. Elle fait le commerce de produits alimentaires principalement les choux depuis 20 ans et elle est en même temps cultivatrice. Elle est veuve et mère de 4 enfants âgés respectivement de 14ans, 12ans, 10ans et 6ans qui étudient. Elle a fait ses études jusqu’en 4e année primaire.
Elle habite une maison qu’elle loue mais a l’espoir que son business va être florissant pour lui permettre d’acheter une parcelle pour construire sa propre maison.

Elle demande le crédit Kiva pour augmenter son capital en agrandissant la quantite de choux a acheter pour revendre afin de réaliser de grands bénéfices. Elle espère que son business va croitre considérablement pour lui permettre d’assurer la scolarité de ses enfants.
