A loan of $1,200 helped to invest in the purchase of basic grains, meats, chicken, dairy products, vegetables, and fruits to keep preparing her delicious recipes.

Maria Elizabeth's story

Maria has her own restaurant business in which she has been investing her efforts and commitment for the general wellbeing of the family.

Several years ago she started out with her father but now she has been working with loans from the institution over the past seven loan cycles. She has invested in acquiring more inventory and it generated higher sales. She purchased utensils to help her prepare her foods.

Her objective is to keep her sales steady, especially because she has many payments. For this reason she tires to continually improve the various recipes to maintain the interest of her clients.

With this new investment from the loan from Afodenic (Kiva Field Partner) she will purchase basic grains, rice, beans, sugar, red meats, chicken, cheese, vegetables, fruits, and tubs of cooking oil. Her goal is to keep increasing client demand and to increase her sales to cover her basic and personal expenses. All of this has been made possible thanks to the financial support.
