This solidarity group is made up a 16 women who live in the same neighborhood. It was created on March 28, 2008. They are mainly involved in small business. Coumba is a widow who takes care of five children; she is one of the women standing in the photograph. She has managed a small business of selling vegetables for the past 20 years. She buys her supplies and sells her products at the central market in town. Her new loan will help strengthen the business and increase revenues. With her profits, she takes care of all the family's expenses to ensure the well-being of her children.
