Silvia Ines's story

Silvia is a 58 year old wife and mother. She owns her own home, where she lives with her husband. They only have electricity in the house, which is located in the district of Tambogrande approximately 40 minutes from the department of Piura. In this area the main activity is farming, cattle raising and artisanal crafts.

Silvia raises and sells poultry (chickens, turkeys and ducks). The area where the animals live in in the rear of the house, since it has an appropiate space for her bird. She feeds them ground corn, rice dust and balanced feed. Later, she sells the birds once they have reached optimum development to be sold in the different markets in the city of Piura in order to increase her income and pay for her daily expenses.

The loan she has asked Edpyme Alternativa for is for 2000 nuevos soles. It will be used to buy balanced feed so that the birds can fatten up an be sold at a good price. This income will help her have a better standard of life.
