Gem Yalla Group's story

The solidarity group was created on July 10, 2002 and is made up of six women who live in the same neighborhood.

Madame Fatou (raising her hand on the left) is the leader of the group. She is 46 years old, married, and the mother of two children. She also takes care of four nephews. She buys and sells various products (brooms, palm oil, vegetables, etc.) at the city market. She has more than five years' experience in this business.

This loan will allow her to finance her business selling brooms, palm oil, vegetables, etc. Her goal is to help her husband improve the family's living conditions.
