Faith Ii Group's story

Meet with members of the “Faith II” group from Kenema, a city in eastern Sierra Leone. They are all local entrepreneurs who have come to SMT, a partner of Kiva, to apply for a loan of SLL 500,000 for each. With the help of this loan they will be able to expand their businesses, make more sales and consequently improve their living conditions.

Messie is the leader of this group. The 31-year-old is married to a businessman and they have 4 children. Messie has been a businesswoman for 8 years now. She sells cassava roots. With her share of this loan, she will buy bags of cassava roots in order to expand her business size and quality.
