A loan of $375 helped to buy animal feed and fertilizers for his crops.

Hermes's story

Hermes is a 48 year-old client who lives with his wife and two dependent children in a rural community which is located 8km from Tambogrande district - Piura. Hermes does not have basic services of electricity, water and sewerage. This is what motivates him to improve his quality of life.

Hermes raises and sells sheep. He currently has 22 sheep which he raises until they reach an ideal size and weight and then sells for the best price possible in the local market. Hermes is also a farmer. He has a plot of land, which he inherited from his father, where he grows mangos and lemons. He harvests his lemons every week and his sales make him good profits as he has an established customer base in his area.

Hermes is requesting a loan for 1,000 Peruvian soles from Edpyme Alternativa which he will use to buy balanced feed for his animals. He will also buy manures and fertilizers for his lemon crops. This will allow him to improve both businesses.

Hermes has previously worked with our institution and repaid loans on time. This loan will be of great use to him and he is very grateful to be receiving it.
