A loan of $1,375 helped a member to purchase three farm animals for breeding.

Sabira's Group's story

Sabira is the leader of this group. She is 69 and is married to a farmer. Together with her husband, who is a pensioner, she has raised five daughters and three sons. All her children are married and live with their families. Only the youngest son lives with his parents (under the Kyrgyz traditions the youngest son’s family lives with the parents). To make additional money to meet their needs, the family breeds cattle. They have been doing it for twenty years, so this family has a lot of experience in this sphere. With this loan, Sabira wants to purchase three farm animals for breeding and construction materials for repairing the house.
