A loan of $1,000 helped to purchase a sealing machine and a refrigerator for his business.

Victor Hugo's story

Señor Víctor is engaged in making mocochinchi (a popular Bolivian drink made from dried peaches, sugar, cinnamon, and water) which he puts in little bags that he seals with a sealing machine. He also packages toasted fava beans and peanuts. He distributes these three products at stalls and shelves at the university where he has the main customers to whom he provides them. He has been involved with this business for 3 years and states that it is a source of income for the support of him and his children.

Señor Víctor is separated. He lives with his children in someone else’s house, which has been entrusted to his care under the condition that he pay for the electricity.

Señor Víctor states that he will use the money we loan him to purchase a sealing machine and a refrigerator since one of his machines is failing, and he will use the refrigerator to cool his drinks. He is a very hardworking person and thankful to the institution for the support it has offered.
