A loan of $375 helped buy non-perishable products in bulk.

Martha's story

Martha is 37 years old and lives with her two children and husband in her parents' home. More than a year ago she began selling food, juice, and sweets at a stand she has on land inherited by her parents. Now they allow her to run a business selling food with her husband. Every morning she prepares typical dishes and offers a rural atmosphere that is attractive to the public. She also offers breakfasts and food for the construction workers who work near her house. In this way she has achieved greater profits and this has helped her business, in spite of the rising price of food. She hopes to stock non-perishable ingredients by buying in bulk to save money. This is her first loan with MFP and she is very excited knowing she will likely have success. She has a responsible attitude and wants to build a good credit history to achieve a greater level of trust and she is thankful for the opportunity for the loan that will help her improve her business. She will buy food in bulk with this loan.
