Beatrice, age 48, earns a living by selling used clothing. She has been engaged in her business for seven years and it is thriving. She is glad that it allows her to generate the profits necessary to help send her children to school, particularly since she herself was able only to remain in school through the fourth grade. Her husband works as a security guard and the family lives in the West Point area.
Beatrice is requesting a loan to purchase more cartons of used clothes for her business. In the future, her primary goal is to see her children educated through university level.
