Mohamed Malai's story

This is 63-year-old Mohamed, a married father of seven children aged 5, 7, 9, 14, 16, 21 and 25 years. In 1965, Mohamed established his timber business as a permanent source of income to support his family. Working 6 days a week and 10 hours a day, he earns about Le 800,000 every month.

Having already received and repaid one loan, Mohamed is requesting a new one for Le 4,500,000 to buy more timber for his business. He hopes that this loan will enable him to increase his monthly profits by approximately Le 200,000, and in the future plans to become a supplier to contractors, buy a power saw to produce timber, and build a store for sales.
