A loan of $1,100 helped to buy construction supplies to improve the infrastructure of her business.

Alicia's story

Alicia is 47 years old and lives with her husband and son in her own home. For 25 years, she has been selling meals in a countryside restaurant which she built in her own home. Alicia's great skill and vocation for cooking have meant that she has managed to attract very demanding customers who come to her establishment to eat every day. She prepares different traditional, regional dishes and this has favored her a lot in her work. She has the support of her husband and son who take charge of serving the customers.

Alicia's busiest days come during holiday periods and make her more profits. Alicia's years of experience have enabled her to make her business profitable so that she can support herself financially. Her wish for the future is to improve her establishment's infrastructure.

This is Alicia's tenth loan from MFP and she considers that working with a community bank over all this time has served her well as she has learned more about using money to invest in the growth of her business. She is very responsible in making her repayments and is grateful to everybody who will contribute to the loan that she is requesting since it will be very useful to her in making progress in her business. She will invest the loan she has requested in construction supplies so that she can improve the infrastructure of her premises.
