The members belong to the “San Gregorio D. Yucay” Communal Bank located in the district of Yucay, province of Urubamba, department of Cusco.

The member is Mrs. Martha; she is 27 years old and lives with her partner and 2 children. She sells her paintings of typical scenes from the city of Cusco and handicrafts like sweaters, necklaces, shawls and earrings. She sells her items in different markets that are in the districts of Pisaq y Ollantaytambo and works from 7:00 a.m.to 4:00 p.m. Through her businesses she is able to give her children a better future. Mrs. Martha would like to expand and improve her painting and craft business. She needs the loan to buy painting materials like brushes, paints and pencils.

The other members of the communal bank have a restaurant, a vegetable stall, a chocolate stall, and a handicraft business.
