Josefina Pascuala's story

Josefina is a 42 year-old mother who owns her own home and lives there with her son. Her home has all basic services and is located in the urban area of San Pedro de Lloc district, some 30 minutes from Pacasmayo province and two hours from La Libertad (Trujillo) department. This district is noted as being an area where people farm and raise livestock.

Josefina sells vegetables retail. She has been doing in this business for eight years. She sells her produce in San Pedro market, in her district. She has a customer base which she has progressively increased which allows her to make income with which to cover her daily household needs.

Josefina requested a loan for 2,000 Peruvian soles from Edpyme Alternativa which she will use to buy a larger quantity of vegetables of all kinds, so that her customers can buy them and other products (fruit, tubers, mixed veg. etc.) This will enable her to make more profits and continue helping her son to get ahead in life. Josefina is a woman with a lot of aspirations and one of them is to expand her business through her efforts and hard work. She would like to sell more products with the sole aim of improving her standard of living.
