Sandra Grimaneza's story

Sandra Grimaneza is 23 years old and single. She lives with her parents and her son in the canton of Guaranda in the province of Bolívar. She has one son.

The member belongs to the rural communal bank "Grupo Pucara" located in Pucara, a neighborhood of the parish of Guanujo in the canton of Guaranda, which is 15 minutes away from the office of the microfinance institution Cooperativa San José. This group is composed of 22 members who work in agriculture, rear cattle and sell vegetables.

Sandra is a farmer. She grows corn and wheat, and she sells vegetables. She gets her supplies at the market in Guaranda and sells her goods at the wholesale market of the same city.

She applies for a loan to buy agricultural consumables. The loan will help her to pay for the required supplies. She faces challenges such as plagues, diseases and weather changes. Her dream is to improve her business and buy a house. She likes to devote herself to her son.
