A loan of $450 helped a member to buy potatoes.

Joli Group's story

The JOLI group is composed of 4 women (3 married and 1 single) who average 27 years of age and 3 children. They live in monogamous families in SANOUBOUGOU II, a district of the city of Sikasso, 3rd administrative region of Mali. This is the first time they collaborate with Soro Yiriwaso, a microfinance institution, in order to meet the needs of their customers. This group of women is in the fruit business with FATI. With this loan, FATI intends on buying 750kg of potatoes. She buys them at the market in MEDINE. The potatoes are then sold retail and for cash, both at the station and door to door, to a clientele of men and women. She expects to make a monthly profit of 30.000FCFA, which will be mostly used for her family's daily expenses.
