A loan of $1,800 helped to purchase calves.

Vazha's story

Vazha is 55 years old and lives in the village of Babaneuri with his family: his wife, Marine, and 26-year-old son. Vazha and his family are busy with scot breeding: they have five milk cow and 18 calves. Vazha’s son takes the scot to the mountains each year in the month of May and brings them back in fall. This relocation results in better quality dairy products and better calves. In October, the family sells cheese and calves. Their average monthly income is 850 laris. With the requested loan, Vazha will purchase six calves and take them to the mountains together with his already existing scot. In October, grown calves will be sold for a higher price. Vazha plans to use the earned profit for house renovation. After renovations, the living conditions of the family will improve.
