Ataya Group's story

This solidarity group was created on May 30, 2007. It consists of 14 women who live in the same neighborhood. Their main business is retail.
The lady standing on the far right in the photo wrapped in a scarf is the head of the group. She is married and a mother of five.
She runs a cafeteria at a bus station where she sells cosmetic products (body lotion, hair pomade, perfumes, etc.). She has been doing this for a year.
Her new loan will allow her to stock up her cafeteria with more beauty products.
Her goal is to increase the merchandise in her cafeteria, to increase her savings, and to help pay for her family’s needs.
