A loan of $1,100 helped a member to purchase mineral fertilizers.

Hajalhon's Group's story

Hajalhon, 22, the young leader of this group, is a farmer who cultivates and sells cotton. When she graduated from school, her mom taught her the craft of sewing, so Hajalhon also takes orders and sews Kyrgyz national blankets, pillows, cloth, and dressmaking supplies, earning 4000 soms per month. Haljahon saved some of her savings to contribute to her sister’s wedding, as under Kyrgyz traditions the wife’s family prepares a dowry (furniture, household appliances, clothes, etc.). She is now applying for a loan to purchase mineral fertilizers which are needed for sowing cotton.
