Luis Antonio
Luis, age 34, lives in the periurban zone of Paraíso de Guayaquil, an area known for its mountainous roads. Luis is married and his wife works in catalog sales of cosmetics. He owns a metalworking shop. The couple has two young children who attend school at a public high school.

Luis learned his trade from his brothers, who have their own workshop. He was able to branch off and start his own workshop, thanks to the good reputation of his family's work. He started with jobs from his friends, repairing automobile dents and paintwork. He works alone every day until 10:00 p.m. or later, if necessary. Paint jobs are the most difficult part of his work, since they take a lot of time and the paint fumes are harmful to his health.

With the help of this loan, Luis hopes to expand his workshop space so that he can work more effectively. He hopes to one day see his children pursue professional careers rather than taking a job like his, which requires hard manual labor.
