Maria De La Concepcion's story

Mrs. María is 66 years old; she is originally from León and is a mother to 7 children. She sells beef, chicken, vegetables, rice, beans, sugar and other foodstuffs. Her business is located in her neighborhood and thanks to this business she was able to put most of her children through school. María has worked in her general store for some 37 years, she didn’t go to school or graduate since she only completed a third grade education and is very proud of being able to get ahead with a lot of effort and hard work. When María started her business, her closest family did not have a job and with their support she was able to sell vegetables and basic grains with time she got ahead little by little until she was able to have her business, she has always had the help and support of her children.

María needs the loan to buy new merchandize for her grocery store. With the investment, she hopes that her customers increase, improve her sales and profits. María wishes to expand her business, to stock it with new products, her next goal is to improve her grocery store and her home.
