Aristides's story

In the city of Calca, in the department of Cusco, there is a place known as the community of Arin. This place is known for its beautiful scenery, its cuisine and the warmth of its people.

In this community of Arin, we meet Aristides, who is 45 years old. He has a wife, and from this relationship he has four children. He lives with his wife in their own house, which has water and electricity connections. It is located in the province of Calca, which belongs to the department of Cusco. The main activities in this zone are farming, ranching and tourism.

Aristides is a master carpenter. He has a small workshop in his home, where he makes wooden furniture such as wardrobes, chairs, tables and other items. He has dedicated himself to this business for 10 years, and it is going very well for him, thanks to the dedication he puts into his work. Later, he sells his furniture to people who have placed orders with him over time.

The loan which Aristides has requested from the Arariwa Association is for 700 Peruvian new soles. It will be used to buy supplies such as wood, carpenter's glue and sandpaper. Aristides is a hard-working and perservering man who has always known how to get ahead in order to improve his life and obtain what he wants.
